  • Concentration and Focus

WHAT ARE THERAPEUTIC PEPTIDES?

Peptides are small proteins or snippets of proteins. Each of them work uniquely to signal for specific cellular or physiological processes, rather than to get broken down into amino acids.

Scientists have discovered over 7,000 peptides in nature, many of them naturally occurring in humans. In your body, these peptides orchestrate numerous processes, such as:

  •   Anabolic processes such as muscle building
  •   Anti-aging processes, such as autophagy and Sirtuin pathways
  •   Brain and neurological functions
  •   Communications between cells
  •   Hormone production and signaling
  •   Immune functions
  •   Metabolic functions
  •   Mitochondrial function
  •   Physical and cognitive performance
  •   Reproduction and sexual health
  •   Sleep and circadian rhythm
  •   Wound and tissue healing and regeneration

Therapeutic peptides are made in the lab to function like natural peptides do in your body. They may be identical to the natural version or chemically improved to make them safer or more effective.

Because your body naturally recognizes and works with peptides, they are safe and deliver powerful clinical results when taken at the right dosages, combination, and timing. Depending on your health goals and type of peptides, they may work best orally, intravenously, or through subcutaneous injections. Most therapeutic peptides are administered through subcutaneous injections.

WHY CHOOSE INDIGO’S PEPTIDE THERAPY PROTOCOL?

Peptides are bio-identical small proteins that can deliver potent clinical outcomes if ALL the following critical factors are in place. These are especially important if you’re looking to maximize health and performance or to achieve a health breakthrough.

Doctor-Formulated

It can take a great deal of clinical expertise to design the right personalized peptide protocols for the right health goals. Our therapeutic peptide protocols are developed and based on a deep understanding of human physiology.

The Right Dosage Cycling and Tapering

Without cycling or tapering, your body can get accustomed to the effects of the peptides, so the benefits diminish over time. We build in variability in peptide uses and dosages to maximize the health benefits you get for the money you pay.

Purity

Since you’re injecting these peptides into your body, you want to ensure that they’re free of dangerous contaminants. The more popular a health product category becomes, the more vendors emerge that don’t follow the highest standards, and products may contain unhealthy ingredients or contaminants. Peptides are no exception, especially if you’re purchasing them as research chemicals that can legally contain harmful substances.

Potency

For peptides to work, your products have to have the same potency as indicated on the label. Peptides are more fragile molecules that break down more easily with the wrong handling protocols and heat exposure. So, without careful quality control, you can easily lose potency. In addition to third-party testing, we ship our peptide products overnight on ice to ensure that it reaches you at full potency.

Our peptides come from a cGMP-certified pharmaceutical producer who follows the highest manufacturing standards.

Cofactors

Synergistic stacking is highly beneficial. Many peptides work better or produce longer-lasting results once you provide additional nutrients as building blocks or co-factors. In many of our therapeutic peptide protocols, we add these additional co-factors to boost the peptides’ effectiveness. We also often recommend nutrient IV Therapy to maximize the effectiveness of your protocol.

Convenience

Since most peptide products are available as research chemicals, you’d typically have to calculate the right amounts of water to add and volume to inject in order to get the right dosages. Then, you’ll also have to load the needles with minimal air bubbles.

All of these become even more complicated and cumbersome if you’re using multiple peptides, or if you need multiple injections throughout the day.

Our peptides come in 30-day supplies premixed and loaded in insulin needles ready for injections, so you can skip all the cumbersome steps and be confident you’re getting the right doses.

CJC-1295

GHRH/MOD GRF(1-29) with DAC

  • METABOLISM
  • MUSCLE BUILDING
  • SLEEP QUALITY
  • ANTI-AGING

What is CJC-1295 and how does it work?

Growth hormone is a natural peptide hormone from your pituitary gland. In young children, it stimulates growth. In adults, it supports muscle mass, fat metabolism, bone health, and heart health. It typically increases during deep sleep in the middle of the night. Also, its levels decline with age, contributing to age-related body fat gain, loss of lean mass, and slowed metabolism.

Growth hormone also stimulates IGF-1, which manages the effects of growth hormones. Both hormones work together on tissue and bone growth. IGF-1 weakly binds to insulin receptors and may enhance insulin action. In adults, IGF-1 also protects the blood vessels and neurons, making it important for cardiovascular, and cognitive and mental health.

CJC-1295 is the synthetic analog of the first 29 amino acids of growth-hormone releasing hormone (GHRH) or growth hormone secretagogue. In a clinical study, CJC-1295 increased growth hormones (GH) by 2- to 10-fold and insulin growth factor-1 (IGF-1) by 0.5- to 3-fold over the course of 9 to 11 days.

What is GHRP-2 and how does it work?

In adults, IGF-1 also protects the blood vessels and neurons, making it important for cardiovascular health, and cognitive and mental health.

GHRPs (growth hormone releasing peptides) can boost natural growth hormone production from the anterior pituitary without the side effects of regular growth hormone supplementation. GHRP-2 is the second strongest GHRP. It binds to the growth hormone secretagogue receptor.

Semax

  • NOOTROPICS
  • MENTAL HEALTH
  • IMMUNE FUNCTION
  • GUT HEALTH
  • STRESS MANAGEMENT
  • ANTIOXIDANTS

What is Semax and how does it work?

Semax is a 7-amino acid peptide that comes from amino acids 4 – 10 of the adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH). Typically, the body produces ACTH as a stress hormone, but Semax in particular has many unique properties, such as stimulating neuronal growth and immune function. It’s said to induce the good parts of stress, such as the high and enhanced performance, without the anxiety. So, you can perform and learn with minimal resistance and procrastination.

As a melanocortin, it acts at many places throughout the body, which is why it helps with the immune system, gut health, and brain function.

N-acetyl semax is a synthetic form that is better absorbed and can better cross the blood-brain barrier.

INDIGO’S PEPTIDE THERAPY COMBO (STACK) PROTOCOLS

Peptides are bioregulators that signal your cells to take certain actions. These actions may require building blocks, nutrients, or other synergistic signals for the peptides to work.

WHY USE INDIGO’S PEPTIDE THERAPY COMBO (STACK) PROTOCOLS

  • Reaps synergistic benefits between peptides, both physiologically and pharmacokinetically
  • Minimizes side effects and tolerance
  • Provides both immediate and long-lasting results
  • Maximizes benefits by combining peptides with other nutrients or building blocks
  • Minimizes the guesswork of peptide math, mixing, and combining
  • Achieves the desired results in 1 – 2 daily injections

Balance

Components:

  • Balance out immune system (T-cell regulation)
  • Brain fog, IBS, rashes, headaches, CFS
  • BPC-157
  • TB-500

Nowadays, many people struggle with chronic unrelenting inflammation, either from lifestyle-related causes or chronic immune response to infections. The inflammation could result in obscure conditions such as brain fog, fatigue, irritable bowel, and skin issues.

This Balance peptide protocol helps balance out excess inflammation, protects organs from inflammatory and oxidative damage, and allows your body to heal. BPC-157 and Thymosin beta-4 (TB-500) are also a powerful synergistic combo that supports tissue healing and can often help move past healing stagnation.

Fat Burner

Components:

  • Methionine/Inositol/Choline (MIC)
  • Methyl B12
  • MOTS-c

Fat Burner is a potent combination of fat-liberating amino acids and vitamin B12, along with the mitochondrial boosting peptide MOTS-c. Methionine, inositol, and choline (MIC) help mobilize fatty acids from fat cells and the liver. Whereas, vitamin B12 boosts your energy levels and supports detoxification functions.

MOTS-c is a mitochondria booster peptide with many metabolic benefits that can support healthy weight loss. It promotes insulin sensitivity, improves fat breakdown for energy, and increases calorie loss as heat. Also, many people who struggle with weight and metabolism have sluggish mitochondria, so MOTS-c provides a powerful jump start in combination with MIC and vitamin B12.

Overall, this protocol is a very effective weight loss support together with a sound diet and exercise program.

Fat Loss

Components:

This peptide protocol combines the power of two GHRH secretagogues. Tesamorelin helps with reducing fat between organs (visceral fat), which is the most inflammatory. It also stimulates IGF-1 levels, helping with maintaining muscles. Whereas, Ipamorelin stimulates GH with less appetite-stimulating or activation stress responses. Together, these two peptides synergize to stimulate muscle growth, boost metabolism, and burn fat.

BPC-157 is an anti-inflammatory and regenerative peptide. It can also help balance the gut-brain axis. By healing the gut and supporting muscle recovery from exercise, it can support muscle gain and fat loss.

Indi-Genesis

Components:

Indi-Genesis is our best peptide combination for cognitive function and brain healing. It combines the most powerful anabolic and healing peptides with PE 22-28, a powerful neuroregenerative peptide.

Epithalon is the synthetic pineal peptide hormone that helps lengthen the telomere, allowing more rounds of cell division. It also boosts metabolism, hormone sensitivity, and production in the pituitary and hypothalamus. Most importantly, it stimulates genes for the production of new neurons. PE 22-28 boosts neuronal growth and formation of new synapses, and protects neurons from inflammation and excess glutamate.

CJC-1295 stimulates growth hormone, which supports brain tissue growth, development, and myelination. At the same time, BPC-157 promotes a balanced immune response, supports the gut-brain axis, and heals the gut lining, which is often disrupted in people with brain damage. BPC-157 also has potent healing effects on neuronal tissues and can protect neurons against oxidative damage.

Components:

Our Indi-Glow peptide protocol is the ultimate peptide combo for skin health and reversing skin aging. The three peptides in this protocol, BPC-157, TB-500, and GHK-Cu have synergistic and complementary tissue-healing benefits. They’re all antioxidants, inflammation-balancing, and regenerative. GHK-Cu attracts immune cells and stimulates the production of collagen and other structural proteins in skin cells, so it can help with fine lines, wrinkles, and hair growth. Whereas, BPC-157 has potent wound- and gut-healing properties. Thymosin beta-4 can control how actin, another type of structural protein, forms in the cells. It also stimulates the formation of new blood vessels and supports wound repair and hair growth.

WHAT OUR PATIENTS SAY

Indigo Integrative Health is a GEM! The practitioners here are the most knowledgeable I have come across. I have felt totally cared for every step of the way and I am already feeling better than I have in years. I am beyond grateful and couldn’t recommend Indigo enough. Look no further!

Dr. Krystle Etri, NMD

I came to Indigo Health after 4 years of trying and failing to get relief from chronic symptoms. I saw a battery of primary care physicians and specialists who kept referring me to each other and focused on medicating my symptoms rather than identifying their root causes. I was bleeding money on random tests, getting worse, facing a lifetime of medications, and exhausted. I came to Indigo out of desperation and am now kicking myself for not reaching out to them much sooner. My first intake with Dr. Snejana Sharkar was almost two hours long. She was extremely thorough in understanding my medical history, and it was the first time I felt like a medical professional was making the effort to identify and understand underlying causes of my symptoms. Through a panel of tests, she was able to identify multiple imbalances and food intolerances, and has worked with me to develop a diet and lifestyle that supports my healing. I’ve been under her and Dr. Isabel Sharkar’s care for about three months, and am experiencing steady improvement in my symptoms. I am receiving the best possible care in every sense of the word. Drs. Sharkar and Sharkar are not only extremely knowledgeable, but they are genuinely kind and compassionate people. I cannot recommend their practice enough. It shouldn’t be an option of last resort – it should be the first place you go to understand what is happening in your body and what your body needs in order to heal.

Maureen McGough

I can’t speak highly enough of this practice. Like a lot of patients, I felt like my regular doctors weren’t trying to help my body heal but just keep putting bandaids on my symptoms. I was worn out and came to Indigo and I’m so glad I did. I was overwhelmed at first with all the work my body needed to “heal” but Dr. Sharkar was amazing, patient and caring. I am still working on it but so far I feel so much better than I did when I started a few months ago. Everyone I talk to is very sweet and caring. When I went for bloodwork, the office is very clean, and relaxing. It’s definitely worth it. I appreciate them all!

Alex K.

I am so impressed and grateful that I found Indigo. During covid I decided I wanted to take care of my health more and connected with the team to figure out a plan forward to live my most healthy life. What impressed me most is there, inside out approach to wellness, which includes taking care of the soul as well. After effects of covid left me with some depression, Indigo helped me heal. I highly recommend Indigo for your wellness needs.

Jessica Powers

If you’re looking for a team of experts to guide, teach, and support you in your healing journey, then Indigo Health is an excellent choice. As a Covid Long Hauler, Dr. Sharkar and her team are helping me to find relief from my myriad of symptoms. They’ve taught me that healing is a journey, and they’ve given me the tools & knowledge to embark on such journey.

Anna Ramsey

Dr. Sharkar has helped me navigate some long-term, trying medical issues. While not all have been resolved, she is willing to continue digging to find answers and support my recovery. I feel supported and very cared for by her and the whole Indigo team.

Katherine Lord

I have gone to Indigo Integrative Health Clinic for a couple of years and have always been very satisfied with the care and attention that I have received there. I feel incredibly blessed to have found Dr. Sharkar! Not only is she extremely knowledgeable but has gotten very creative in finding ways to cure whatever health issues I may have had in the past.
Indigo Integrative Health Clinic has the finest team of medical staff that do everything in their power to treat me in the most natural way. I owe my life to them. I highly recommend Indigo Integrative Health Clinic!

Ariana Spanta

I can not say enough good things about Dr. Sharkar. I am not being dramatic when I say she saved my life. I was having a very hard time since the birth of my daughter (insomnia, gut issues, anxiety, mood swings, you name it) She identified the problem and I started treatment right away. I had seen a lot of doctors before Dr. Sharkar and no one has ever compared. I owe her everything. I am even better than how I was before I was pregnant.

Her intelligence, expertise, compassion, and professionalism is what makes her the best doctor around. I will never go to another doctor! I can not thank her enough for everything she has done for me. She has given me my life back.

Kate Day

This clinic literally saved me after a terrible shingles outbreak and a horde of autoimmune disorders. Competent, compassionate, excellent doctors. Cannot recommend them strongly enough. What they do at Indigo is the future of medicine. Extraordinary possibilities. Indigo Clinic also has its own line of carefully formulated supplements: and yes, their supplements work many times better than those on the market. And the place is lovely!

Sonia Kanikova

“Dr. Sharkar is knowledgeable, kind and takes the time to really figure out what’s going on with you from a holistic perpsective. I moved away from DC and still go back to the clinic to get treated or pick up more supplements whenever I’m in town. I couldn’t praise Indigo more!”

Zainab

“Indigo Health is where you want to go if you would like a natural approach to your healthcare. Dr. Sharkar spends a great deal of time with you to come up with a plan to improve your health with natural supplements as well as traditional medicine. She is extremely caring and knowledgeable. Indigo Health is “concierge medicine” at it’s best!”

Candace

“Great experience and very knowledgable staff. Will definitely be coming back for a follow up.”

Robert

“Grateful to have found Dr. Sharkar. She is a kind, compassionate and caring doctor. Both my daughter and I are patients at the health clinic. Highly recommend this practice if you are seeking a medical provider who is very adept at getting to the root problem.”

Cathy

“Dr. Sharkar gave me back my life. I had done everything I could think of, or learn about, to heal myself from multiple health conditions and had reached a dead end. We found her at a health and healing fair in the Washington DC area. She told us that she had a lot of experience healing thyroid conditions, as she had healed herself. This is what I needed to hear and gave me hope.
Dr. Sharkar and her staff are amazing, caring, supportive and responsive. Even during my most difficult moments on this journey of healing, I never felt alone. I knew that I could reach out to her for guidance and assistance. My body is healthier now than it has been since I was in utero, and it is to Indigo Integrative Health that I offer my deepest gratitude for this transformation. Thank you!”

Basenji

“Dr. Sharkar at Indigo Integrative Health Clinic is amazing! It has been great to see someone who is extremely knowledgeable and works to address whole body health. I feel she truly listens to me and addresses all of my questions. I am very happy to have found her!

Kathryn

“Working with Indigo is the best decision I have ever made for my health! After years of seeing Specialists who continued to tell me I was healthy, despite my symptoms, I found Indigo and a Dr. who was willing to find the source of my issues. I was quickly diagnosed and treated with natural supplements and lifestyle changes that worked. I started seeing improvements in my blood-work immediately and steadily until my tests were within normal range. Dr. Sharkar and her team are very thorough, effective, and kind. I am now healthier and have more energy than I have had in 12 years and will continue to work with Indigo to maintain my health. “

Cayce

“This place is amazing. I do IV therapy there and it has changed my life!”

Chris

“This was a great experience with very personal and knowledgeable staff and doctor. I will definitely be returning for a follow up and recommend this clinic to anyone interested in getting to the bottom of their health issues. It was great to get looked at from a holistic approach rather then just masking the symptoms. “

Robert

“I’ve been to many doctors in my life and finally, Dr. Sharkar has actually helped me to improve my health. It has been the best investment I’ve ever made and I’m very happy to have such a great and caring doctor. The best part is that everything is natural and it actually works. “

Eugenia

“My daughters and I see Dr S Sharkar. We have been patients for over a year and I can honestly say that Dr Sharkar has ALWAYS been there for us. She is a caring, honest, intelligent, experienced professional. She never hurries an appointment and she treats you as an equal, incorporating your views and research into her plan. She is very systematic and uses the highest quality diagnostic companies and supplements. Because she is a highly experienced Nurse practitioner and a Naturopathic practitioner she can give Intravenous therapies and can also support her holistic therapies with conventional medicine and tests that are covered by insurance. We have complicated health challenges and she is well able to support us with these. Our ages range from 4-50, so all are welcome! She has a lovely sense of humor and is a pleasure to visit. I highly recommend Indigo Integrative Health Clinic.”

Deirdre

After years of struggling with fatigue and ups and downs in my mood, I decided to try the NAD+ Brain Restoration at Indigo. I was especially hopeful about this treatment because I am preparing to start a graduate program which I know will require my full energy, attention and focus. I am so pleased to report that after receiving this treatment I have improved on a number of levels. I am feeling more energized throughout the day and my mood has improved. I feel like I have more mental stamina and clarity to complete all of my daily responsibilities, which before had felt like they required so much more effort mentally and physically. I am thankful that I was able to address and improve on these concerns with a natural approach! Thank you Indigo!
