Migraine Treatment That Finds the Source.

You plan your week around the next attack and keep rescue medication within reach.

Chronic migraine is rarely a problem of the head alone. Hormone swings, blood sugar dips, food reactions and poor sleep each lower the threshold for an attack. We test for those drivers and treat them, with the goal of fewer attacks that are easier to manage.

More Than A Bad Headache

A migraine disorder reaches well past the pain.

Many patients spend the day before an attack feeling off, and the day after wrung out, so a few attacks a month can cost a week.

The pattern matters as much as the pain. Attacks that cluster around your cycle, follow a skipped meal, or arrive after certain foods or a poor night’s sleep are telling you what sets them off. We read that pattern and test behind it.

Common Migraine and Headache Symptoms

  • Throbbing pain on one side
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Sensitivity to light and sound
  • Visual aura or blind spots
  • Neck and shoulder tension
  • Dizziness or vertigo
  • Brain fog after an attack
  • Attacks tied to your cycle
  • Pain after certain foods
  • Waking with a headache
  • Jaw clenching or grinding
  • Daily, dull background headache

The complete picture

Finding What Lowers Your Threshold

Most migraine care starts and ends with the prescription. We start with why your nervous system has become so easy to tip, which is usually several things at once.

We Evaluate

  1. 01Hormone patterns: estrogen, progesterone and their cyclical shifts
  2. 02Blood sugar and insulin stability across the day
  3. 03Food sensitivities and food-driven inflammation
  4. 04Magnesium, riboflavin, CoQ10 and vitamin D status
  5. 05Gut health, inflammation and microbiome balance
  6. 06Thyroid and adrenal function
  7. 07Sleep quality and nervous system regulation
  8. 08Environmental triggers: mold, heavy metals and chemical exposures
  9. 09Medication overuse and rebound patterns

How It Works

Your Path to Fewer Attacks

  1. 01

    Advanced Diagnostics & Trigger Mapping

Functional and specialty testing, alongside a careful history of your attacks, maps what has been driving them:

    • Hormone panels timed to your cycle where relevant
    • Blood sugar and insulin markers
    • Food sensitivity testing
    • Nutrient Status: i.e. Mg, vitamins B and D, CoQ10
    • Gut and inflammatory markers
    • Thyroid and cortisol rhythm
    • Toxin burden where indicated

Every protocol begins with your results and your attack diary.

  2. 02

    Personalized Migraine Protocol

Your plan is built around what the testing found, your history and your goals:

    • Targeted nutrient repletion with evidence behind it for migraine
    • Hormone balancing where cycles drive the attacks
    • Blood sugar stabilization through nutrition and timing
    • An elimination phase for the foods that showed up in testing
    • Gut repair to lower inflammatory load
    • Sleep and stress-response support
    • Prescription options used thoughtfully, including preventives where appropriate

No two migraine patterns are the same, so no two protocols are.

  3. 03

    Ongoing Monitoring & Adjustment

Migraine recovery shows up as a trend, so we track it as one:

    • Attack frequency, length and severity logged between visits
    • Rescue medication use tracked, with a plan to bring it down
    • Protocol adjustments as triggers are confirmed or ruled out
    • Re-testing of hormones and nutrients at sensible intervals

We measure progress on your calendar as well as on your labs.

  4. 04

    Long-Term Prevention

Staying well means keeping your threshold high once the attacks have eased:

    • A maintenance nutrition and supplement plan you can live with
    • Hormone and blood sugar support through life changes
    • Food reintroduction done carefully, one at a time
    • Periodic reassessment to catch drift early

The aim is a calendar you no longer have to plan around.

Commonly Asked Questions

Your Questions Answered

If you’re living with migraine or frequent headaches, these are the questions we hear most. Yours are welcome on a free discovery call.

Do you treat tension headaches and cluster headaches as well as migraine?

Yes. The headache type guides the plan, but the work of finding what has made your nervous system easy to tip is similar across them. Where a headache pattern needs neurological assessment first, we say so and coordinate with your neurologist.

Can hormones cause migraines?

They are one of the most common drivers we see, especially in women. The drop in estrogen before a period, the swings of perimenopause and the shifts around pregnancy and birth control all change migraine frequency. Testing hormones at the right point in your cycle, then supporting the pattern we find, often lowers the number of attacks.

What tests do you run that my neurologist didn’t?

Neurology’s job is to rule out structural causes, which matters. Our testing looks at the ground the migraine grows in: hormone patterns, blood sugar and insulin, food sensitivities, magnesium and other nutrient levels, gut inflammation, thyroid and cortisol rhythm, and toxin burden where your history points there.

Will I have to stop my migraine medication?

No. Rescue and preventive medications stay in place while the underlying drivers are treated. As attacks become fewer, many patients find they reach for medication less. Any change to a prescription is made deliberately, with your prescriber where another clinician is involved.

Can food really trigger migraines?

For many people, yes. Aged cheeses, cured meats, alcohol, chocolate and foods high in histamine are frequent culprits, but the pattern is individual. Rather than asking you to cut everything, we test, then remove what your results point to and reintroduce carefully.

Does IV therapy help with migraine?

Our IV Lounge offers magnesium and nutrient infusions that some patients use during a difficult stretch or as part of their protocol. Infusions are a support alongside the root-cause plan rather than a replacement for it, and your clinician will advise whether they fit your case.

How soon will I see a difference?

Some patients notice a change in frequency within the first month or two of the right adjustments, particularly where a food or nutrient driver is found. Hormonal patterns take longer to settle. Individual results vary based on health history, condition severity, and personal factors.

Do you accept insurance?

Indigo is a cash-pay practice. This allows us to spend the time your case actually requires, without insurance constraints dictating your care. Many patients find the investment worthwhile given the depth of evaluation and the results they’ve been unable to achieve elsewhere. For eligible services like provider visits, in-clinic blood draws, and vitamin D injections, we can provide a superbill you may submit to your insurer for possible out-of-network and direct reimbursement.
